President's Day

Today is Presidents Day. You can like a President or not like a President…they can be from your party or not from your party…you can agree with their agenda and policies or disagree with their agenda and policies. Regardless, the one thing I don’t think anyone can argue, is being President requires leadership, commitment, sacrifice and a tremendous amount of mojo. Here are some inspiring quotes from past presidents which have shaped America. Great stuff from some great leaders that devoted their lives to us and our country.

  • “Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or the present are sure to miss the future”. John F. Kennedy – 35th President of the United States
  • "Leadership consists of nothing but taking responsibility for everything that goes wrong and giving your subordinates credit for everything that goes well." Dwight D. Eisenhower – 34th President of the United States of America
  • “If I had eight hours to chop down a tree, I'd spend six hours sharpening my ax.” Abraham Lincoln – 16th President of the United States of America

  • "Do you want to know who you are? Don't ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you." Thomas Jefferson – 3rd President of the United States of America
  • “Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful people with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.” Calvin Coolidge - 30th President of the United States of America
  • “Things may come to those who wait...but only the things left by those who hustle.” Abraham Lincoln - 16th President of the United States of America
  • “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” John Quincy Adams - 6th President of the United States of America
  • "Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names." John F. Kennedy – 35thPresident of the United States of America
  • “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” Franklin Delano Roosevelt – 32ndPresident of the United States of America
  • "Speak softly and carry a big stick." Theodore Roosevelt– 26th President of the United States of America
  • "I have left orders to be awakened at any time in case of national emergency, even if I'm in a cabinet meeting." Ronald Reagan – 40th President of the United States of America
  • "The only limit to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today." Franklin Delano Roosevelt – 32nd President of the United States of America
  • "Leadership is the art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he wants to do it." Dwight D. Eisenhower – 34th President of the United States of America
  • "You are not here merely to make a living. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand." Woodrow Wilson – 28th President of the United States of America
  • "It is easier to do a job right than to explain why you didn't." Martin Van Buren - 8thPresident of the United States of America
  • "I have never been hurt by anything I didn't say." John Calvin Coolidge - 30thPresident of the United States of America
